Finished: Huffy Santa Fe Cruiser Bike

It is great to hear from a fellow Huffy cruiser enthusiast! That’s so great you rode your 2003 FrankenHuffyTrailKroozer across Missouri. I am even familiar with the stretch of the Katy Trail near St. Louis, as I’ve biked and ran on it while visiting my girlfriend out there.

Lots of choices for plating and color if you want a little fancy or rust resistance. Now when you say multi-speed with rear derailleur, there’s the kicker. You’ll need a little skinnier to get through the drive-train. From brands you can trust, like Kent, Concord and huffy nighthawk Huffy, Walmart has cruiser bikes for the whole family. All you need to do is pick out your favorite style and color and get ready to enjoy the ride. Even if it’s been a while since you embraced pedal-powered transportation, remember — it’s just like riding a bike.

Pop your favorite beverage into the cup holder and toss your keys, phone and sweater in the basket. The rear rack is perfect for bookbags, groceries, or whatever else you need to transport. This lovely periwinkle one-speed bike includes a deluxe padded spring saddle, dual density grips and pedals, and a simple coaster brake for easygoing adventures and pure fun in the fresh air. At the bike rental store I had we rented single speed cruisers. Single speed and mulit-speed, done with multi-speed hub (sometimes called internal gearing, hub has a single drive gear) is usually 1/8″ width size 1/2″ spacing, generic stuff.

Their upright riding position, wide handlebars, and cushioned seats make them a favorite for anyone looking to enjoy the journey as much as the destination. This resulted in the tubes escaping out of the tire carcasses and bursting. Spontaneously exploding tires are not a good thing.

Aside from trashed tires and one flat tube, it mostly needed just a cleaning to make it presentable. I shelled out for two new, slightly wider tires (no whitewalls), tubes, and handlebar grips, removed the decals, and added a bell and reflectors I already had. The front fork and chainguard were a very dull silver (a.k.a., gray) that detracted from the look of the chrome fenders, so I sprayed on two coats of Rustoleum gloss white. This cruiser bike is made in a vintage style, with a seafoam green color to match. If the bike is single speed or internal hub geared, chains with internal width of 1/8″ / 3.2mm are usually used. This is probably what you need. This turned out to be one of my fondest adventures.

The Huffy had not even arrived at my doorstep before I was planning a grand adventure for it. Colorado Springs seemed a natural destination for it since my friends Lisa and Jeremiah lived down there. I figured, maybe I could combine the ride with a visit to them and maybe join in some sort of late evening cruiser ride that is en vogue in hip cities such as Portland or Fort Collins.

Its stylish design and light blue color will fit in from city streets to the beach. This metallic orange beach cruiser has a durable steel frame, a single speed and coaster brakes, making it easy to ride, even for beginners. Cruiser bikes, with their classic design and comfortable ride, are a top choice for those who appreciate the simple pleasure of riding a bike. These bikes are perfect for leisurely rides through town, scenic coastal routes or even relaxed commutes.

Men’s Sanford Cruiser Bike is way more than a bike for the beach. The easy-to-use coaster brake and stainless-steel fenders will keep you dry and in control, no matter the weather. The perfect fit aluminum cruiser bike frame with an integrated rear rack combines durability, comfort, and convenience. It features a padded spring saddle accented with embroidery, plus ultra-comfortable dual-density grips and pedals to ensure every ride is comfortable and fun. Spend quality time with friends or enjoy a quiet ride alone on a Huffy Girls’ 24 in. You’ll love the cruiser bike’s exclusive Perfect Fit frame, which offers a super-comfortable ride.

This all-black cruiser has a modern design and an adjustable seat that makes it suitable for riders of different heights (though it’s best for teens to adults). I took her up Independence Pass this week but she has just one gear and bogged down going uphill. It was still a pleasant ride, though, especially considering how the serious road bikers stared as they passed me on their expensive bikes in their ridiculous clothes. Beyond serving as a practical mode of transportation, Arianna has given me plenty of good times riding along the Pacific Ocean on the famous strand that stretches from Malibu to Manhattan Beach. Now she takes me on long rides along the Roaring Fork River on the Rio Grande Trail.
